Rebecca Pezzutti is the Legal Practice Director at IRiQ Law.

Rebecca is an employment and safety lawyer with over 17 years of experience in legal practice and a genuine interest in the practical application of industrial law within modern workplaces and organisations. She leads the firm’s workplace, industrial relations and safety practice and partners with clients to deliver legal outcomes that make sense and add value.

Rebecca’s employment and safety practice covers strategic, complex and sensitive workplace issues, including complex employee relations case management, investigations and disputes. Rebecca is an experienced advocate in the Fair Work Commission, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Federal Court and other state and federal tribunals. She is routinely engaged directly by in-house legal teams to leverage their capacity and by senior and executive officers to find and navigate strategic solutions to complex workplace issues.

Rebecca has established a reputation as a strategic litigator and ‘go to’ advisor around the effective management and resolution of human rights, discrimination, bullying and harassment issues in the workforce. She is also a sought-after speaker and facilitator of workplace training for leaders and managers.

In the area of work health and safety, Rebecca’s advice is often sought in response to safety incidents and investigations. She offers valuable and strategic guidance to individuals and organisations in response to regulator action, most commonly in the form of responding to improvement notices, prohibition notices and prosecutions.

Rebecca values collegiate relationships and has been endorsed by her peers in the legal profession by being elected to the Queensland Law Society Council for two consecutive terms in the 2019 and 2021 QLS elections. Rebecca has also served the profession as a member of the QLS Industrial Law Committee, the QLS Ethics Committee and as a District Law Association President for two terms in 2018 and 2019.

Rebecca obtained a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) at the University of Technology Sydney in 2006, and a Masters of Labour Law and Relations at the University of Sydney in 2022.

Philip Diaz is an Associate at IRiQ Law

Philip is a talented lawyer, five years post-admission with a wealth of experience in industrial relations in both the Queensland public sector and in the Fair Work Commission. As a former Associate to a Fair Work Commision Commissioner, Philip assists Clients by contributing his insights in the Fair Work Commission process, whether for agreement making or disputed matters. He also contributes to IR strategy around workforce and union engagement, drawing on his experience with union engagement.

As a member of the IRiQ team, Philip works directly with clients to provide advice and representation in a broad range of Commission matters and particularly enjoys delving into case law and considering its practical application to deliver common sense advice and solutions orientated outcomes.

Philip has also gained a wealth of experience in Commonwealth administrative law as an Associate at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and through his work in Private Sessions for the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (Disability Royal Commission).

Philip graduated from the University of Queensland with Bachelor in Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Spanish language. Philip completed a post-graduate diploma in legal practice with Australian National University.

In his spare time Phil is a singer, and regularly performs Sea Shanties.

Anantha is the Business Analyst at IRiQ Law.

Anantha is a valued member of the IRiQ team. In his role as Business Analyst, he leverages technology and manages the systems that enable us to deliver flawless client service in our Payroll Audit offerings.

Anantha’s key strengths are attention to detail and data analytics, and he brings a wealth of experience in auditing complex information to bear in the delivery of multiple complex payroll audits, providing excellence in customer service, efficiency and accuracy. Anantha takes his privacy and ethical obligations very seriously in all that he does.

Anantha holds a Bachelor of Business Management Majoring in Business Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Queensland.

As the former President of the International Student’s Society at UQ as well as a former member of the UQ Academic Board, Anantha remains connected as a UQ Alumni and is passionate about investing his strong communication skills and leadership skills for the benefit of his peers.

Brinda is the Marketing & Business Development Manager at IRiQ Law.

Brinda shares her strong enthusiasm for marketing and is set to redefine the future of marketing strategies at IRiQ with her diverse wealth of experience.

Brinda has previous experience working in brand management and corporate sales in multinational corporations. She is passionate about engaging with clients to enhance their experience with IRiQ.  She is a confident communicator and takes pride in leveraging her communication skills to accurately address client needs.

A proud graduate from UQ Business School, majoring in International Business and Marketing, she not only holds a bachelor’s degree but also graduated in the Dean’s Honor Roll, showcasing her exceptional academic achievements. Brinda was also an executive member of the UQ International Collective and contributed to the improvement of the student experience at UQ.

During her leisure hours, you’ll find Brinda either conquering a half marathon with determination or nestled in a cozy corner, immersed in the pages of a captivating book.

Caley Springall is a Legal Graduate at IRiQ Law

Scott Donaldson is an Industrial Relations Consultant for IRiQ Law

Scott is an industrial relations and employment law practitioner of 20 years’ experience.

Scott has worked both in private legal practice and within various in-house legal and ER/IR roles at State, National and International level.  Scott’s experience sits primarily in the construction, mining and transport sectors, with further experience in health, aged care and financial services.

Scott supports IRiQ clients in designing robust industrial relations strategies, advising on management of overall workplace risk, and managing all facets of enterprise bargaining, including acting as both an employer bargaining agent and a process facilitator.  Scott emphasises the importance of establishing a clear long-term vision, and identifying the specific initiatives required to deliver that vision.  Scott engages positively and constructively with IRiQ clients, unions and regulatory bodies in pursuit of mutually beneficial outcomes.

Scott obtained a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (Management) with Distinction at the Queensland University of Technology in 2004, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at Griffith University in 2005, and a Master of Employment Relations at Griffith University in 2011.  Scott was awarded the Lionel Ledlie Prize of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland for undergraduate achievement in Industrial Relations.  Scott has also lectured in workplace relations and employment law at Queensland University of Technology. 

Mary Rose is an Executive Assistant at IRiQ Law.

Mary Rose is the Executive Assistant to the IRiQ Law team. She keeps us organised and on schedule.

Mary Rose is the first point of contact for our clients and handles all incoming calls for our team. You’ll most likely speak to her when you call the IRiQ office.

Matthew is a Data Scientist at IRiQ Law.

Matthew provides valuable support to our payroll audit and remediation team. As a data scientist Matthew applies a technical lense to the interpretation, management and presentation of large sets of data that go into our analysis of large-scale payroll audit and remediation work.
